FitStop Health Fair and Screening
Spring semester 2008 dates:
Wednesday March 5th and April 9th from 10:00am - 2:00 pm
Downstairs in 34 Brady Commons at the Wellness Resource Center
Cholesterol test, $5.00
- a high total cholesterol level is considered a risk factor for heart disease
- this test provides total cholesterol and does not include a breakdown of HDLs, LDLs, or other lipid levels
- requires a finger stick with immediate results provided
- it is recommended to fast ~2 hours prior to test
Hemoglobin test, $3.00
- this test may be used to screen for possible iron deficiency anemia
- requires a non-fasting finger stick with immediate results provided
Blood glucose test, $2.00
- this test may be used to screen for diabetes mellitus
- requires a finger stick with immediate results provided;
- it is recommended to fast ~2 hours prior to test
Blood pressure checks, FREE
- this test may be used to screen for hypertension, a risk factor for heart disease

*We accept cash/check
*No appointment is necessary however keep in mind it is typically busier on the hour between class times.
*Please note these tests are not in anyway intended to diagnosis a disease or condition, but are used to screen for abnormal blood and blood pressure levels.
*The FitStop is advertised for students, faculty and staff of the university; however if you have a spouse who would like to come, feel free to bring them!
